An Idea Is Born
After graduating from Oxford Brookes University with a degree in Sports Coaching BSc (Hons), Craig began his first role in the sports industry with Oxford United Football Club. Upon completion of his UEFA B Licence in Coaching Football, he worked within the academy at the club working with players now playing at first team level at OUFC and at other clubs higher up the football league pyramid. This work saw him travel abroad on several occasions to deliver international football camps in America.
As well as his role within the club's Academy and Community Department, Craig also worked part time as a Level 3 Personal Trainer. In Summer 2012 following the success of the London 2012 Olympics, Play Anywhere Coaching was founded. With the introduction of the School Sport Premium Fund it was a great time to be involved in changing the mindset of PE & Sport within primary schools. Schools are still benefitting from this dedicated funding which has enabled them to raise the profile and quality of their PE provision.
Since it's creation the company has grown year on year with an annual increase in the number of clubs and holiday courses we provide. We now have a number of talented coaches working for the company. To date, the company proudly hosts sports provision for hundreds of children all over Oxfordshire every week. Craig has gained over 16 years of experience working in coaching environments and been through two 'Outstanding' OFSTED accredited inspections as a PE practitioner. He also works as a youth coach for Southampton Football Club and First Team Coach at Banbury United FC in the National League.
